This is my third tome on Islam, and some may get the idea that I am anti-Islamic or anti-religious. That’s not the case. I am all for religious freedom and I believe that many people need religion like they need air. Religion has the power to alter perceptions, and order lives. Without religion, people, unafraid of burning in the eternal lake of fire, would run amok, there’d be more crime, more of everything evil in this world. I’m all for religion as long as the religious keep their religion in their internal lives, in their homes and places of worship and out of secular government. I do not want my daily life governed by religious rules that I abhor and do not believe in. That’s why I live in a country with a secular government with laws that apply to and protect everyone equally (ideally but sometimes not in practice). And for those readers, who feel I am insensitive to Islam, just wait until next week when I am planning to be insensitive to Mormons and Christianity. I am an equal opportunity insensitive.

Islamic apologists often point to the Xian and Jewish religious texts known as the Old Testament and the Septuagint respectively to soften the blows of their own horrific texts, let me end this argument now. Nowhere in the world are Old Testament laws applied without impunity nor are they openly inflicted on non-believers. Even Catholics and reform Jews have cast aside the archaic and sexually biased laws written in the Old Testament, and orthodox Jews have enough problems without foisting their religious rules on the rest of us. Islam, however, is stuck in a time warp so severe that it has nearly halted the growth of countries that have an Islamic government.

Seen from free western feminine eyes, fundamental Islam is patently biased against women and has systematically disenfranchised them around the world. There are few issues that draw such heated fire from Muslim men as when non-Muslims point out how much violence is not only allowed, but also religiously sanctioned towards women.

Although the apologists are continually bringing up the Old Testament, which is so similar in commentary about women as to suggest at times that Mohammed copied much of it, Christianity and Judaism have modernized and past the point where women are seen as wombs and objects.

Again, Islamic apologists try to convince us that we are misunderstanding them, that Islam is a religion of peace, that we just don’t get it, and remind us not to consult the Hadith. We hardly need to consult the Hadith to understand where the fifty-three-year- old Mohammad was coming from when he wrote the Quoran. He married Aisha (one of his wives) when she was six years old and consummated the marriage when she was merely 9. I understand where Mohammad was coming from and why he mandated women could not pluck their eyebrows but could and should remove their pubic hairs. Likewise, Xians who question the apostle Paul’s strange writings have come to the conclusion that he was a closet homosexual with an axe to grind against women, because Jesus certainly never taught most of the things that Paul wrote. Fancy that, a man with an axe to grind against women. And, had Jesus had said, “suffer the little children to come unto me and sit on my lap so I can cop a feel.” He’d not be such a treasured religious icon but he would be the poster boy for and worshiped by NAMBLA.

How is rape treated by Islamic texts and imans?

The Muslims are on a publicity campaign to alter the perception of their religion. They’ve launched websites that answer questions non-Muslims might have regarding their religion, however they are not telling the truth, and most visitors to those website will go there, read, and think, well, they’re not so bad.

This site says, “The so called sex slaves, or captives of wars are not permitted in Islam, nor the rape of women captured during war. No slaves are allowed any more in Islam. All the stories circulating around and found on some sites on the Internet or missionaries' books are derived from the corruption deliberately spread in the books called Hadith and Sunna which were written about 200 years after the death of the prophet Muhammad.” http://www.submission.org/women/rape.html

That is not the truth. The Quran not only allows slavery and sex with captured women and slave girls (4.3, 4.24, 23.6, 33.50, 70.30), it says Allah may even pardon those who forced their slave girls to sell their bodies. Quran 24.33: Force not your slave-girls to whoredom that ye may seek enjoyment of the life of the world, if they would preserve their chastity. And if one force them, then (unto them), after their compulsion, lo! Allah will be Forgiving, Merciful.

The site also attempts to mitigate the issue of rape:

“The need for four witnesses in case of adultery when no other evidence exists does not apply in cases of rape where modern science allows the use of advanced techniques to identify the rapist with the highest accuracy. The victims of rape, if they notify the authority immediately, will have enough proofs to convict most, if not all the accused rapists, as the physical facts including semen, saliva, blood, hair, fibers, skin scraps, bite marks,.....etc. are so many and easy to identify to convict the rapist. There is no truth to the claimed rumor that the rape victim has to present four witnesses to prove the rape when there are so many other physical proofs. This requirement is needed only if a person who has no other proof accused an un-expected person of such a crime…..The least of the proofs is eyewitness, and God sees to it that the four witnesses (who do not have to be men,)  will be a better guarantee against a deliberate plot to scheme an innocent person.” (sic)

That whole explanation is a waste of web space. How many men rape a woman in front of four witnesses? How many of these backward countries even have DNA labs and capability? In most Islamic countries the only proof a woman can ever have of violent rape is four witnesses and most times she cannot report a rape to authorities without the risk of being murdered by her own family! Some women make anonymous phone calls to report rape, but those are never prosecuted. The Islamic apologists think they are going to fool us with their flowery inaccurate explanations but we aren’t that stupid.

Muslim men, beware! You will face punishment for rapes perpetrated against non-Muslim women in the western world because not only are we free to report it, we have the proper technologies available to convict you and send you to prison for a long time.

You would think that rape would be non-existent crime in Islamic states that mandate a woman wear a Burka or other such body covering clothing, but that is not the case. Rape, a crime of power, not unbridled lust, occurs in all areas of the world and is under-reported, more so in Islamic states that place the blame for the crime upon the victim. In order to mitigate the instances of rape in Islamic areas, Islamic apologists have blatantly ignored the true nature of rape.

Is wearing a Burka for religious modesty really a deterrent to rape? No. Men in Victorian England could fill books with their protestations of love for a women’s ankle. Was it really the mere glimpse of an ankle that could set a man on fire, or, was his unbridled lust focused on the only thing he could see? When all men could see was an ankle they were filled with unbridled lust, and now that they can see much more, they are filled with the same lust. Only ignorance of the human condition could proclaim it as anything else.

According to HRCP, one woman was raped every two hours and one subjected to gang rape every eight hours in Pakistan in 2002. "The actual incidence of rape could be far higher. Social taboos and the stigma attached to rape meant that most rape cases went unreported, with families at times going to extraordinary lengths to cover-up cases," it reports.

Women rights groups say many rape cases go unreported partly because of the impossibility of proving the crime under the Hudood laws.

"We have deduced that Hudood should be repealed completely as it provides legal protection to violence against women," says former Supreme Court judge Majida Rizvi.

Who is to blame for these rapes?

I could supply an endless litany of links proving that Islamic men blame the rape victim, but it would take up 50 blog spaces. I’ll provide anecdotal evidence and leave the rest to the reader, however apparently it is women who are to blame; western women for not wearing a burka or head covering, and Muslim women for…being women, weak, and easy targets.

In a recent interview in Holland, German journalist Udo Ulfkotte stated that, “The punishment for all women who do not subjugate themselves to the will of Muslim men is rape, vilification, and acid attacks you can now see examples of young, unveiled Moroccan women with a so-called "smiley” which is a cut up from mouth to ear; a punishment and a warning to other Muslim girls who may refuse to wear the veil. In the Muslim suburb of Courneuve, France, 77 per cent of the women carry veils due to fear of being harassed or molested by Islamic moral patrols.”

How can the veil or Burka be about choice as our friend Aziz states when the punishment for not wearing them is rape or disfigurement, in WESTERN countries as well as Islamic states? How is it that Muslim men are getting away with raping and disfiguring non-Muslim women and blaming their crimes on the women?

A not-so-brilliant professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, Norway, Unni Wikan was quoted in an article in the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet which reported that 65 percent of the rapes perpetrated upon Norwegian women were perpetrated by “non-Western” immigrants, the majority of which in Norway, consists of Muslims. In this article the esteemed professor dared to state, "Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes" because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. Norwegian women must realize that we live in a multicultural society and adapt themselves to it."

I could not believe my eyes when I read her conclusion that wherever Muslims decide to move, western women better start wearing veils or only they can be held responsible for their rapes and disfigurements, not that Muslim men must learn about and adapt to the culture to which the have chosen to live.

Rape and the acquisition of power over another human being is a human hamartia. Men do not need women in order to rape, any prison inmate will tell you that. So what makes Muslim men think they are so special and that when rape occurs between a Muslim man and a woman, it’s not about power and control? It is. Rape always is a crime of anger, control, and power. If Muslim men lose control over their women they might have to learn about partnership, equality, and unbridled love and devotion.

Sexual power; women have it. In American vernacular it’s called Pussy Power, and in baser terms, we’ve got what men want, with the exception of gay men, of course. All men, not just American men, but Muslim men, little green men, and hillbilly men (a confirmed species) want what women have, because they’re human.

Muslim men must be more fearful of this sexual power than other men because they are admonished not to fall too much in love lest a woman gain too much power over him. They really think they’ve got the con on this idea, but they don’t. As much as certain women have sought to gain power over men via their bodies, men have been running for the hills to avoid becoming powerless in the face of their own lust.

Rape is not nor has it ever been a crime of the lustful, it is a crime of control, a crime of power and rage, it is all about subjugating a woman (or a man, men get raped too) to the will of the rapist.

So, what does a Muslim man do to a woman who dares to flout is idea of how a woman should dress and or behave? He subjects her to violence, imposes his will on her because he is stronger and sets the blame for his actions, on the woman.

Islamic countries are no different than western countries; their secrets are just better hidden behind a religious veil of secrecy! There are gay men in Saudi Arabia, pedophiles in Dubai, rapists in Turkey, wife beaters in Iran, and killers in Jordan, just like there are in all the other countries of the world, including China, which keeps everything a secret and would have the world believe they are perfect. How do I know this? Because there are humans in all of those countries.

In a November 15, 2005 article in the Saudi daily Al-Iqtisadiyya, Sa'ad Al-Sowayan, a reformist Saudi researcher and columnist, argued that religious cassettes, which are widely available in Saudi Arabia, advocate Jihad by emphasizing the sexual reward awaiting the martyr in Paradise. This is aimed at tempting teenagers who can find no sexual release in conservative Arab society. An English translation of the article was published in the Saudi Gazette on November 17.(1)

The Burka vs. Bikini, Pompous Men Sound Off

There will always be men who will claim they know what is best for women; what we think, feel, and want. If a man has acquired a Ph.D and or has very stiff (pun intended) religious beliefs, he especially seems to feel that he is qualified by book learning and or authorized by G_D to tell women how to navigate their lives, and when we are or are not oppressed, or being “debauched.” One such pompous ass is Henry Makow, Ph.D who wrote “Burka vs. Bikini-the Debauchery of American Women available here: http://www.rense.com/general29/deb.htm.

Henry is convinced that the war in the Middle East is all about stripping Arabs of their religion and culture, AKA exchanging the burka for a bikini. That’s right. Henry is convinced that American men and women are warring in the Middle East in order to rip the bed sheets off Muslim women. Apparently Henry has never peeked beneath a Burka, otherwise he’d understand the fallacy in his thinking.

Henry also has an idealized view of the Muslim woman as the “taproot” of spiritual life for her family. The rest of that sentence makes me gag a bit so I’ll leave that to the brave reader.

While the godly, Muslim woman is busy being the taproot of terrorism and female circumcision, (I mean spiritual life,) he states that the American woman is busy strutting her stuff in a bikini and auctioning herself off to the highest bidder, since the cultural measure of an American woman’s values is her sex appeal. He further proselytize that American women idolize Britney Spears and desire to “hook up” for quick sex in a bathroom versus indulge in courtship and true love.

I’d like to know what hole this fellow pulled his head out of? (His ass would be as good a guess as any.) Is he currently in a relationship? I doubt it. And if he is, I bet she wears sensible shoes and support hose for her own comfort and she’s never looked good in a bikini but gives good blow jobs.

Henry’s writing exposes a man who has faced one too many rejections from the independent minded Western woman who wears what she wants, goes wherever she wants whenever she wishes, and is protected by sectarian laws. He says nothing of male virginity and fails to mention the unbridled lust that male models face on a daily basis.

In the mental vacuum of his moral musings Henry apparently has not looked out of his window lately or raised the veil of his inner Burka. He has missed the whole “Big is Beautiful” movement and has not noticed that the average American woman wears a size 12 and men love women of all sizes. American women do appear to be obsessed with diets and looking thinner, but is this to catch a man, or for her own self esteem? Probably a bit of both, but these are private issues for the psychotherapy couch, not for pubic digestion.

All I have to say in answer to Henry is that I am glad to be an American woman. It means I am free to be a spiritual taproot or a whore. And that is the point dear Henry misses. I am free.

American women do parade around in Bikinis; usually a top and most of a bottom, although in many, if not most cases, she might look better in a bed sheet, which means women are not parading around in bikinis because they look better in them and like male Peacocks they are putting their wares on display, but because they want to. Bathing suits in Europe, and a few American beaches may even be missing one or the other piece, and yet women are not regularly assaulted on American and European beaches by American or European men driven mad by lust. I wonder that Muslim men on European beaches are not raping and pillaging with impunity, oh wait, they are.

But their temporary discomfort may be necessary so that the powerful social tool of shame is applied to the families and communities that nurtured the rapists, gave them succour and brought them up with such a hatred of Australia's dominant culture and contempt for its women that they think of an 18-year-old girl, dressed for a job interview in her best suit, sitting on a train reading a book, as a slut.

These were racist crimes. They were hate crimes. The rapists chose their victims on the basis of race."

Being the best friend of men most of my life, I can tell Henry this (in case he missed out on life). Men want to be loved; they want intimacy, sex, food, and football, although not necessarily in that order. American men don’t patrol the beaches with their penis’s in their hands masturbating on the backs of sunbathing bikini clad women; their mothers have taught them more respect than that.

If rape for Muslim men is about lust and uncontrollable urges that happen upon them when they see a woman in a bikini, and the Burka protects women from those lustful thoughts, why are Burka-wearing Muslim women ever raped?

Aziz spins a tale that so carefully tiptoes through the garden of good and evil that one is left scratching his or her head wondering exactly what his point is. He tries to come across as a nice Muslim guy who is saying that women should be able to choose whether or not to wear a Burka or other Islamic garments, and he also attempts to convince us that those same garments are attractive. Sarees are attractive Aziz, not bed sheets with metal inserts to see through. He states, “Attractiveness is NOT the same as sexiness. It is possible to be attractive and yet retain modesty, but sexiness is inherently immodest, because it promotes women as sex objects.”

A sentence that left my head spinning as I tried to figure out exactly what he was saying.

He further states that, “many women choose burka freely, as well as lesser variations such as hijab or ridah. Even the most oppressive-seeming burka with metal faceplate and voluminous robes is actually a weapon in the hands of a woman when chosen willingly. My own wife wears ridah full-time, even to medical school, though I was initially against the idea. But I supported her in her desire to achieve her modesty, and the result has been astonishing. But the benefits she derives from wearing ridah are a topic for some other time.”

I can think of a few reasons to wear Ridah. Bad haircuts, bad hair days, no money for a hair dresser, fear of having your pigtails dipped in ink, but wearing it to avoid the unbridled lust of a man is not one of them. American women just wear hats on bad hair days and the good news is, we can take them off whenever we want without risking having acid thrown in our faces or being marked as a whore.

Aziz muddles on to claim that both the bikini and the Burka enslave women, but he’s avoiding the real issue. If women have allowed themselves to become enslaved, who is their eager enslaver? Men who are so enslaved by their lustful feelings that they cannot see a wrist or an ankle without being driven mad?

Personally I think a bikini offers less chance for enslavement because the whole time a man is eyeing the boobies he’s got his penis on his mind, not enslavement. How clever of the bikini wearing women to know this. Keep his mind on the boobies and he’ll not enslave me, in fact, he will become my slave. The fact is men are slaves to women because we have what they want.

As the eternal best friend to men, I’ve heard their sad tales of enslavement to boobs. As children they dream about boobies. As young men they look at endless pictures of them and dream some more. A good day for a young man is the day he sees his first picture of a booby, his best day ever is the day he dares to slip his hand under Suzie’s blouse and cop a quick feel before she slaps his hand away. Are we to believe that this natural human interest applies only to American or western men? Who do Muslim men they think they are kidding?

Are American women enslaved by their appearances? Sure, some of them are, but most of us are too busy living our lives, raising our families, falling in love, and working on our educations and careers because we are FREE to do so.

The one thing American women have that Muslim women living in Islamic states will never have, (unless there is a massive uprising) is equal protection under the law. A judge in America will not let a man accused of beating his wife to death walk the streets because he (the judge) felt the beating was honorable. American women do not risk being stoned to death for adultery while a man who committed the same crime roams free. A young American girl who has been raped will not be sentenced to death by a judge and hung to death in front of her family, and a child who is raped and impregnated by her brothers will not be murdered by her mother who in turn will be praised by the community. An American woman will not be dragged from her car and legally beaten with an iron rod because her sleeve slipped down and part of her arm was showing. Neither will she be beaten because her nails are painted. American women are protected under the law. Our clitorises may not be legally chopped off, and we have a right to face those who would beat us, kill us, rape us, and treat us as animals in a court of law.

What the Ph.d and poor, misguided Aziz should have said but didn’t because they are imprisoned by a male mind-set, is that the Burka is a symbol of female anonymity; it represents women without bodies or faces, without self-expression or freedom, women as alike as sheep but without half of the value.

Insensitive to Islam

Bombs away. Islam no longer forbids cremation?

In this entry I am going to be “insensitive to Islam.” If you are sensitive to Islam, perhaps you’d better leave. I’d hate for you to get the urge to stab me multiple times like a deranged and overly sensitive Muslim did to Van Gogh for daring to be….insensitive.

We can’t turn on the news or open a paper in recent years without reading or hearing an account of an angry Muslim blowing his (and now her) self up, usually in an attempt to murder as many people as possible. Apparently they are offered virgins in heaven (do the female bombers get male virgins or lesbian virgins, or, are they left out in the virgin cold, OR is there as yet another unspecified reward for cremating herself?)

Oh, no, that can’t be right. It is impossible that the suicide bombers and bomber wanna bees are Muslims, because if they were Muslims they would know that cremating themselves, even under the guise of the word “holy war,” is VERBOTEN, FORBIDDEN, TABOO, and a BIG NO NO, in Islam. Yes, that’s right all ye bombers within earshot, cremation in any form is forbidden in the Quoran. This poses a problem for all bombers who thought they were going on the fast bomb to heaven.

I was prompted to look into this because of all the Afghani screeching when U.S. soldiers burned the remains of some Taliban fellows. (Had I been there I would have first sliced off their penis’s and stuffed them in their mouths, (for the eternal  “do it yourself there are no virgins” blow job) but then, I’m just an angry woman who does not like to see the current headlines in which Islamic maniacs threaten to shoot women in Bangladesh on sight (Muslim or not) who are not wearing veils. Personally, I’d emasculate them all; let them find out first hand how female circumcision feels. (Rant over.)

I got to thinking about this Afghani body burning incident. American soldiers usually bury bodies, but according to this excerpt, the soldiers deviated from custom for hygienic reasons. “Under these circumstances, Vician said, the Americans chose the option of cremating the body for hygienic reasons. Here, he said, is where the soldiers made a miscalculation. "They are taught, essentially, that enemy combatants may be buried or cremated. But while cremation is allowable for hygiene reasons under the Geneva Convention, it's not an acceptable practice according to the Afghan traditions and culture, and that's what's come up as a part of this investigation," he told RFE/RL.”

What exactly is wrong with that? In fact, Islam does forbid cremation EXCEPT:

If it is feared that the disease might spread if the person is buried, then for the sake of general welfare of people (al-maslaha al-'ammah) the cremation would be allowed.

That’s right all ye suicide bombers, you are going to hell on the short bus for committing the sin of CREMATION. I don’t think much of Shari`a law, but then I don’t think much of ANY religious laws. I take special offense at religious laws that disenfranchise women. It is barbaric to believe that is OK murder a woman who has been raped and to shoot women on sight for not wearing a sheet on their heads. All religions have their problems but as long as they don’t inflict those problems on me, they are welcome to them. I promise you Islam will not go over well in the U.S. if you start threatening to shoot women on sight for not wearing a sheet on their heads.  Try it. Why the clothing industry alone will finance a fashion intifada the likes of which Islam has only dreamed of. You think your suicide bombers are bad assed? You have not run amok of the Manolo Blahnik loving, Uzi toting Femachicks who refuse to wear veils.

In short; suicide bombers are going to hell because they in effect cremate themselves and cremation is against Islamic law. I can, however, think of a million other reasons for them to be sent to hell, this happens to be the only Islamic reason I can find, since the so called religion of peace seems to be blowing the hell out of everyone they hate.

If Muslims around the world were truly offended by this crap, the billions of them out there would put a stop to it. There is a reason that whacko Bin Ladin is still running around free, and the AL Bomb yo mama Zakari has not been captured. Muslim complicity. If Muslims were truly outraged by these people, they’d turn them in. But the most we’ve seen so far is Jordanians acting upset and putting on a good show. I for one don’t believe them. WHY don’t I believe them?

One little old lady who was in the hotel that the husband and almost dead wife blew up during the Jordanian wedding was quoted as saying, “WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO US…..” she said more but it pisses me off to repeat it. In short, this Arab Muslim woman wants to know why her Islamic brothers are blowing up innocent Arabs instead of sticking to blowing up the rest of us. I wanted to smack her off her stool.

ON THE BURKA AND OTHER PRESSING MATTERS:

If you want to wear a Burka, go to Saudi Arabia whose laws are religiously based. The U.S.A. has a separation of church and state and in many states it is ILLEGAL to go about wearing what constitutes a mask. Also, Muslim men state that women must wear the Burka to keep men from lusting after them. All that says to me is that Muslim men are animals who cannot control their lust unless a woman is totally covered. PATOOEY.

Religious Police Prevent Girls From Escaping Burning School
What kind of people would keep children from escaping a burning building? Saudi Arabia's religious police, that's who. 15 schoolgirls died an a school fire in Mecca in part because the mutaween would not let them leave without the proper clothing, even going so far as to battle firemen who were rushing to the scene. One witness saw three mutaween "beating young girls to prevent them from leaving the school because they were not wearing the abaya." The father of one of the dead girls charged that the school watchman even refused to open the gate to let the girls out.

6,000 Girls Reportedly Circumcised Every Day
About 6,000 girls a day undergo female genital mutilation (FGM), often willingly, and up to 115 million African women have already had it, US-based development agency World Vision said on Thursday. And bizarre beliefs abound about FGM, such as, if a woman is not circumcised, her husband will die; she will give birth to an abnormal baby, or her genitals may grow to an enormous size. These tales have helped perpetuate the practice in more than 30 countries, Fatuma Hashi, the report's author, said. "The worst perpetrators of FGM are women themselves," Hashi said, adding that girls fear being ostracized and older women cling to tradition, unaware of the health risks.

Six Blind Women and the Elephant
Parvin Darabi has an ax to grind. The Iranian-American activist and author of "Rage Against the Veil" watched her 54-year-old sister self-immolate in a Tehran square to protest the treatment of women in Islamist Iran. She says Islam is partly to blame. "We watch Iran beat women, and we watch Saudi Arabia put women in jail for driving cars, and we won't come out and criticize Islam," she says. "I say it's time to criticize Islam. And it’s time to say that had we done something about women in Afghanistan sooner, we would not have had the disaster that we did." While her interpretation of the Koran may be inaccurate or out of context, the issues brought up regarding women deserve attention. Either they are sanctioned by Islam or they are abuses of Islam.

Over 1000 representatives from the 18 Muslim congregations from the Norwegian Islamic Council and Islamic Mission took part and expressed opposition against, among other things, forced marriages and "honor killings."

Police confiscate Muslim marriage guide telling women to stay home
Police in Turkey have seized copies of a Muslim guide which has been handed out to newlyweds. The 125-page guide says a woman must cook and clean and ask her husband's permission to go out. A man only needs to say: "I divorce you" to end a marriage.
